( ~ Found on the lawn at the Crouch family residence in Brighton. In an effort to clean out the pool shed, well over twenty water guns are removed and laid out in the garden. At Bernadette's suggestion, Crouch sr did finally agree to donate them or give them away. But when he finds what he recognises as dried blood on the nozzle of one, then two... he just throws them all straight into the bin. ~ )

( ~ Found stuck with various others between the pages of a photo album. The album is kept in a small black box with silver corners labeled 'Barty Baby Photos' in his wife's gentle curving script. Every once in a while he walks past the bedroom and through the doorway sees her with the box out and photographs fanned out on the bedspread. He sees his wife look down at them, sometimes smiling, sometimes crying, sometimes expressionless and silent. He leaves her alone to them, and walks on. This particular picture was one on a roll from which Bernadette had insisted they save every photo. but he remembers that day and no matter how much she had smiled and laughed it off before depressing the shutter once again to capture this apparently precious moment, it had -not- been funny. ~ )

( ~ Sent over that morning via Ministry owl after bickering with his wife on the subject and the phrase 'there is nothing wrong with it' is repeated many times on his part, is Bartemius' and Bernadette's birthday wishes for their son.~ )

( ~ Similar to how the first pancake of the batch always manages to turn out a horrible, misshapen lump, the first picture of so many rolls of film are nothing more than blurry snaps of wherever the camera happens to have in it's viewfinder when it is loaded. As much as he craves to be a man above the norm, Barty Crouch Sr's film looks just like everyone else's with that first click and something about that dissatisfies him more than he would ever bother to put to words. ~ )
